Rex Royal coffee machine PSSR examinations & servicing

Swiss bean-to-cup machines with a small sealed boiler. Usually ordered from a coffee supplier and never examined.

Swiss bean-to-cup machines ordered as part of a coffee supply contract and almost never added to a Written Scheme, because nobody in the buying chain thinks of them as pressure equipment. The boiler is small — around 1.2 litres — and sealed inside the body, which is exactly why it gets missed.

The Rex Royal certified valve is a 1/4-inch 2.3–2.4 bar part (058625 / 058629), not the 1.8 bar valve used on traditional machines, so a generic valve cannot be substituted. It retails at about €135 including VAT, roughly £117 in UK trade.
